FLUE LINERS IN BRADFORD
A flue liner is a metal tube that is inserted into the existing chimney and may be needed for a number of reasons including:
Flue leaking smoke & fumes into other rooms.
Condensates or tar seeping through the chimney (common with wood burning stoves). The flue is too large for the type of fire/appliance being used.
The flue is too cold and not drawing properly (often against outside walls).
Chimney built since 1965 can have the clay liners installed incorrectly which is a very common problem.
The old flue is eroded causing frictional resistance to the flow of gases causing poor up draught.
Here at Fluetech our qualified engineers will be able to reline your chimney if required using a safe method of work utilising different types of access including ladder restraint, tower scaffolds, edge protection platforms, stack scaffolds and hydraulic platforms as recommended in the safe working at height regulations.
